The event’s over, our work begins
You know the moment. A 100-person conference just wrapped, the guests are heading out, and you’re left with: tables covered in cups, a sticky floor, overflowing bins, napkins everywhere, wine stains on the carpet, and bathrooms that… well, let’s not get into it.
What looks like “a bit of a mess” is actually 3-4 hours of hard work. And it’s not something your team should be dealing with at 11 at night.
What post-event cleaning covers
- Trash removal: cups, plates, napkins, decorations, leftover food. All of it goes.
- Floor washing: including stains from drinks and food, and mud tracked in on shoes.
- Tables and surfaces: stain removal, wiping down, disinfecting.
- Bathrooms: full disinfecting, refilling soap and paper, floor cleaning.
- Kitchen: washing dishes (if needed), cleaning counters, clearing leftover food from the fridge.
- Carpets: treating stains (wine, coffee, food) before they dry and set in.
- Odor: airing the room out, with cleaning that removes smells instead of masking them.
3 types of events, 3 levels of cleaning
Small event (20-30 people): happy hour, birthday, team lunch
Cleaning time: 1-2 hours. A team of 1-2 people. Mainly: clearing up, washing, bathrooms.
Medium event (50-100 people): a talk, conference, launch party
Cleaning time: 2-4 hours. A team of 2-3 people. Includes: clearing up, thorough washing, stain treatment, full disinfecting.
Large event (100+ people): annual conference, company event, expo
Cleaning time: 4-6 hours. An expanded team of 3-5 people. Includes: heavy clearing, double washing, carpet treatment, multiple bathrooms, and possibly floor polishing too.
The night after: how we work
At CleanTeam, our crew can be on site within an hour of the event ending. Here’s how it works:
- Booking ahead: you let us know about the event (date, end time, number of guests)
- An on-call team: we assign a crew that’s free when your event wraps up
- We come right away: the team arrives with all the gear the moment the guests leave
- We work through the night: a full clean in the small hours
- A normal morning: staff walk into a clean office, like nothing ever happened
